Student Self-Registration and Access Codes

Use this article if your organization is not using an SSO, SIS or LMS integration, meaning students need to register with a student access code

Some schools use manual student registration. Other schools use SSO, rostering, LMS setup, or another login process.

Students should follow the login process given by their teacher or school.

This setup only applies to self-registration. If you're using an integration, students will be rostered and enrolled automatically.

Before students register

Students need:

  1. The correct platform URL.
  2. The correct student access code.
  3. Their teacher’s directions for account setup.

Student registration steps

  1. Go to the platform URL provided by your teacher.
  2. Select Sign Up.
  3. Enter the student access code.
  4. Complete the registration form.
  5. Create a username (email address) and password if required.
  6. Submit the form.
  7. Go to your home page or dashboard.
  8. Open the correct class or course.

If the student home page is blank

The teacher may still need to add the course or assignment.

The student should ask the teacher to confirm:

  1. The student is in the correct class.
  2. The correct course has been added.
  3. The first activity, lesson, module, or assignment is available.

If a student cannot log in

Check:

  1. The student is using the correct platform URL.
  2. The student is using the correct username.
  3. The student is using the correct password.
  4. The student is following the login process assigned by the school.

If a student joined the wrong class

The student should tell the teacher.

The teacher can help confirm the correct class and next step.

Need more help?

Students should ask their teacher first.
